International Quilt Festival, Houston, Texas

These interviews were conducted in 1999, 2000, 2002 and 2003 after trainings by the Q.S.O.S. faculty with volunteers at International Quilt Festival in Houston, Texas with the support of International Quilt Association and Quilt, Inc.

The Delaware Q.S.O.S. Project

Faculty and students working in the Regional Center for the Quilt at the University of Delaware gathered interviews from quiltmakers and trained interviewers representing a number of local guilds.

The Trinity Valley Quilters' Guild Q.S.O.S. Project

Volunteers from the Trinity Valley Quilters' Guild were trained then conducted the interviews with quiltmakers before and during the annual Quiltfest in Fort Worth, Texas.

Q.S.O.S. at American Quilt Study Group

Interviews with quiltmakers were conducted at the American Quilt Study Group's annual conferences in 2001 and 2002.

The Maryland Q.S.O.S. Project

Q.S.O.S. volunteers conducted interviews with local quiltmakers in Maryland.

The Massachusetts Q.S.O.S. Project

These interviews were conducted by Julie Henderson, a research assistant working with Dr. Bernard Herman; most were facilitated with the support of Mary Walter and the patrons of her store A Quilter's Garden in Marlborough, Massachusetts.

The Washington Q.S.O.S. Project

Q.S.O.S. volunteers conducted interviews with local quiltmakers in Washington.

The Kentucky Q.S.O.S. Project

These interviews were conducted by Karen Musgrave when she was in Louisville giving a program for the Louisville Free Public Library.

The Illinois Q.S.O.S. Project

Members of the Q.S.O.S. task force conducted interviews with local quiltmakers in Illinois.

The Texas Q.S.O.S. Project

These interviews were conducted by Karen Musgrave when she was in Dallas giving a program for The Quilter's Guild of Dallas.

The Iowa Q.S.O.S Project

Amy Henderson conducted these interviews for the exhibition "Master Quilts Past and Present: Preserving the Voice of America's Quiltmakers" at the Faulconer Gallery at Grinnell College from May 30 to July 27, 2003.

The Colorado Q.S.O.S. Project

The following interview was conducted online with Dr. Bernard Herman.

The Virginia Q.S.O.S. Project

The following interviews were conducted for different projects by Le Rowell and the Virginia Quilt Museum's Q.S.O.S., Harrisonburg, Virginia and The Cardinal Quilters of Alexandria, Virginia.

The New York Q.S.O.S. Project

Q.S.O.S. volunteers conducted interviews with local quiltmakers in New York state.

The Florida Q.S.O.S. Project

The following interviews were conducted by the Naples Quilters Guild of Naples, Florida.

The Mississippi River Valley Q.S.O.S. Project - Salt Creek

The following interviews were conducted in a joint project with the Illinois Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts through a Challenge America Grant and Quilters S.O.S. Save Our Stories. The project was designed to increase the awareness of the influence that the Mississippi River has had on the arts and artists of the area. The tape recorders for this project were provided by a donation from the Salt Creek Quilters Guild of Western Springs, Illinois.

The Utah Q.S.O.S. Project

Q.S.O.S. volunteers conducted interviews with local quiltmakers in Utah.

The Illinois Special Q.S.O.S. Project - Quilters Guild of Dallas

The following interviews were accomplished as a result of a grant awarded by the Quilters Guild of Dallas, Inc. to Karen Musgrave. The interviews are of African American quiltmakers that live in the Chicago area.

Art Quilts at the Sedgwick Q.S.O.S. Project

The following interviews were conducted by the Regional Center for the Quilt, University of Delaware at Art Quilts at the Sedgwick in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The California Q.S.O.S. Project

Q.S.O.S. volunteers conducted interviews with local quiltmakers in California.

The South Carolina Q.S.O.S. Project

Q.S.O.S. volunteers conducted interviews with local quiltmakers in South Carolina.

The Alliance Q.S.O.S. Project

The Wisconsin Q.S.O.S. Project

The Washington, DC Q.S.O.S. Project
